Gus Hansen enjoyed an amazing year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only player to make it to the final table in three of the events. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may recall one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker recorded history competing against Daniel Negreanu. He raked in a large pot with 4 of a kind against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has made many tv poker appearances and is thought to be one of the best gamblers around the world. While playing web poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. Gus often plays in the 200/400 NL maximum buy-in of Forty Thousand dollars. Gus generally buys in for the min of $16, 000 and plays very weak. He waits for a good hand and then goes all-in. I believe Hansen is a great poker player but certainly not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is penniless, he has no reason to settle at the game with the min buy in.
Playing for the minimum takes most of the expertise out of deep stack poker. Gus is supposed to be 1 of the best players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the total amt.. I believe television can alter our view of the real world every now and then. The greatest players anywhere in the world may be players you have will not have heard about. Gus can be seen wagering on web poker on Full Tilt. He normally participates in high stakes omaha eight-or-better and Holdem. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a competition player. Can he back up his skills in money rounds?
