Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the western in a wonderful game for new players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the house, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers compete against other players. By wagering against the dealer, new players don’t need to worry about any other, more advanced players winning their cash.
One more Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, beginners can take their time and scheme without having to make quick choices.
It is also simpler to play for a very long time with basically a small amount of cash after all, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards faces showing and the dealer gets 7 cards face down.
A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the houses.
