Double-hand Poker is a current game with old origins. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the wild west in an excellent game for beginning level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the casino, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers bet against other players. By competing against the dealer, new players do not need to fret about any other, more knowledgeable individuals taking their money.
A further Pai Gow benefit is the fairly leisurely game pace, beginners can take their time and plan while not needing to make frenzied selections.
It’s also much simpler to bet on for an extended time with only a tiny bit of cash since, to lose, both of your hands needs to be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the casino receives 7 cards face down.
A five card hand and a two card hand must be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
