Online poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little concealment or different kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier saying "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different players receive 5 cards each. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager comes the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, including an amount in accordance with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays out chips equal to your wager and controlled expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
