Online poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier broadcasting "No more bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players are given five cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s value is akin to your beginning wager, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes immediately to the house. After the bet comes the showdown. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including a figure on par with the initial wager. If the house does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The bank pony’s up money even with your bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
